We want cortexca.com to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, navigate by keyboard, or need motion to stop moving. This page sets out the standard we work to and what we have done about it.
1. The standard we aim for
We are working towards WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium. This is the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is accessible, and the one referenced in relation to the Americans with Disabilities Act and the UK Equality Act.
We do not claim full conformance. Accessibility work is continuous rather than something a site finishes, and we would rather be straight with you about that.
2. What we have done
Following a review on 3 September 2026:
- Added a control to pause the auto-playing video and the moving logo strips. It sits in the bottom left of any page carrying motion, works by keyboard, and remembers your choice.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, motion is paused for you automatically.
- Added a "skip to main content" link so keyboard users can jump past the navigation.
- Labelled every form field so screen readers announce them correctly.
- Declared the page language so screen readers pronounce content properly.
- Raised text contrast where it fell below the required ratio.
- Added a main content landmark to every page.
- Made the keyboard focus outline clearly visible.
3. Ongoing work
We review the site when we make significant changes to it, and at least every six months. Where a review finds something that needs fixing, we fix it.
Parts of the site may not yet meet every criterion. If you find something that does not work for you, please tell us using the details below.
4. Third-party content
Some elements of this site are provided by other companies, including our newsletter sign-up form. We do not control their code and cannot guarantee it meets the same standard. Where a third-party element creates a barrier, contact us and we will find another way to get you what you need.
5. Tell us if something does not work
If you hit a barrier on this site, we want to know. It is the fastest way for us to fix it, and you will not be a nuisance.
Email admin@cortexca.com with the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within five working days, and we will tell you what we are going to do about it and when.
If you need something on this site in another format, ask us and we will find a way to get it to you.
6. How this page is kept up to date
The date at the top of this page is when we last reviewed it, not when it was first written.
